I don&#8217;t think Milt Gross aspired to do much with his comics other than make people laugh&#8230; and he was very good at it. That said, he wrote what may be the first graphic novel, <em>She Done Him Wrong<\/em> (a.k.a. <em>Heart of Gold<\/em>&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Done-Her-Wrong-Milt-Gross\/dp\/1560976942\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1\/105-6564882-7326008?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1181801302&#038;sr=8-1\">recently reprinted by Fantagraphics<\/a>). I wish someone would do a nice big reprinting of his newspaper work.
